Book of Travels is a travel guide app that gives you a comprehensive, up-to-date view of the best travel destinations. It is a free app for iPhone and iPad, and costs $4.99 (or £3.99) for Android users.
The Book of Travels has delayed its early access launch for the fourth time. Its biggest setback is that the site has to undergo a major upgrade this weekend.
With the fourth delay of the planned March 26th launch of Book of Travels, the team behind the project has delayed the launch for another 6 weeks. Book of Travels is an online service that allows you to create digital books with various themes and publish them for free.
Oh my, there goes our second August release: Book of Travels has been postponed for the fourth time. MOP readers will recall that the game was crowdfunded in 2019 and scheduled for early access last autumn, only to be postponed to Q2 this year, then to Q3 and, particularly, August 9th for the “chapter zero” release, and finally to August 30th.
M&D doesn’t appear keen on repeating the same error a fifth time, since the studio has yet to announce a fresh early access date.
“We’ve concluded that additional time is required to stabilize our forthcoming online RPG Book of Travels, based on input from our Beta Testers. Might and Delight believes in teamwork when it comes to game development, and our beta testers are no exception. We’ve discovered that Book of Travels isn’t exactly where we want it to be yet as a result of their comments. We want to provide an early access game that we can be proud of, therefore we’ve decided to push back the release date once more. The squad is now focused on regaining control of the game. We realize how dissatisfied people who were looking forward to playing Book of Travels and discovering Braided Shore soon are. Despite this, we have chosen not to set a new date just yet. We’ll announce the release date once we’re certain we’ll be able to meet it. We appreciate your patience and hope that you will join us to travel and write your own tales in Book of Travels when a new date is set.”
Since the previous delay, the team has been releasing a slew of teasers, so you’ll have something to read while you wait.
